Gain More Confidence in Speaking with Our Online Pronunciation Courses

Speak Confidently at Last

Do you know that feeling of having a great language certificate in your pocket but somehow not really making progress when it comes to speaking? In conversations you understand everything, but you falter when it's your turn to speak? Do you sometimes feel insecure when talking on the phone?

Then our online pronunciation courses are exactly right for you! Here our specialists show you how to reduce your native accent in order to sound more fluent and natural in German. At the same time, your listening comprehension will improve as well.

Course Structure

In the theoretical part of each lesson, you gain a comprehensive overview of the sound system and the prosodic features of German. You learn to understand that in German people speak differently from how they write, and that pronunciation is always dependent on the situation.

With us, you also learn which articulatory processes are involved in speaking German, which reductions and assimilations exist, and how the language's typical, stress-timed rhythm is composed. You get to know the means of accentuation and explore sentence intonation.

With special methods, our specialists help you reach your goal

A Special Plus – Feedback Included

The very best thing about our courses, however, is that you can practice what you've learned right away in class. Our experts tailor their methodology to your native language as well as to your speaking personality and your learning type, so that phrases you thought would be difficult will roll off your tongue with ease.

After each lesson, you'll receive extensive materials from us, such as PDF files, audios, and videos. This makes it easy for you to keep practicing on your own after class.

During the course period, we also support you in a chat. You can then post your exercises as audio recordings in a chat group specific to each course and receive feedback before the next lesson. Our instructor will give you an analysis of what you're doing well and what you should still work on.

Of course, your individual feedback always comes with methodical tips – just for you.

"Despite having a C1 certificate, I somehow couldn't speak fluently. The pronunciation course taught me the fundamentals of speaking German in a practical and vivid way and showed me what I really need to articulate clearly and what is actually reduced through assimilations. At last I feel more confident when speaking."

Ines Crocker

A native of Leipzig, she began her education by studying music pedagogy at the University of Leipzig and later earned a diploma in Speech Science and Phonetics at the Martin Luther University Halle/Wittenberg. In 2013, she also successfully completed her master's degree in German Studies (M.A.) at the University of Tampere/Finland.

Since 2005, Ines has taught corrective phonetics and the methodology of phonetics for German teachers, as well as the subjects of rhetoric, speech art, advanced reading instruction, speech training, and German as a Foreign Language at various universities in Germany and Finland, as well as at teacher training and private language institutes.

Ines has published textbooks for German as a Foreign Language (Magazin.de) and has worked as a phonetics specialist, speaker, and actress in the creation of various digital teaching materials.
She dedicates her special devotion to teaching pronunciation. In doing so, she especially loves discovering the method that works best for each individual learner and applying it patiently. With passion, expertise, and empathy, she has now been accompanying German learners for over 20 years on their journey to achieving a fluent and natural pronunciation.

  • "Every language has its own articulatory foundation—like a kind of 'preset' for a machine. If you can adjust your articulatory muscles to this foundation, you will develop a new speaking style in the foreign language and sound natural and authentic to native speakers. The key is to find this individual 'preset'!" (I. Crocker)

Dima Borisov

Dima began his education by studying German Studies at the Moscow Maurice Thorez Institute of Foreign Languages, which he successfully completed in 2015 with three foreign languages (German, French, English). During his studies, he learned various teaching methods of German phonetics designed explicitly for Russian-speaking learners of German.

He then began studying French Philology at the Freie Universität Berlin, which he successfully completed in 2024 with a Master of Arts in the East European Studies program.
During his studies, he was able to gain deeper insights into other Slavic languages, such as Polish, among other things.

His particular interest lies in the pronunciation differences between Slavic and German sounds. Thanks to his many years of teaching experience in foreign language instruction, Dima is especially skilled at conveying the subtleties of German pronunciation to native Ukrainian and Russian speakers with great skill and joy.

  • "Your language skills and your pronunciation are your starting capital when you come to a new country." (D.Borisov)*
