Use the Federal Government's offer on job-related language support for people from migrant backgrounds and increase your chances on the job and training market.

Vocational German courses – language level B2, C1 or C2

Admission Requirements

You are on language level B1, B2 or C1 and are authorized to participate. The employment agencies and job centers decide on who is allowed to take part in the modules of national job-related German-language promotion:

  • You must be registered with your local job center as jobseeker and / or you generally receive benefits according to SGB II (Hartz IV) or SGB III (unemployment benefit)
  • You are looking for an apprenticeship or are already undergoing training.
  • You are currently undergoing the recognition procedure for your professional qualification. In this case, consult your advisor.


We provide the participants with all relevant content for passing the respective examination telc level B2, C1 or C2.

Vocational German course – language level B1

Admission Requirements

Participants in the special module B1 are people of working age who speak German as a second language and who

  • have not reached language level B1 in the Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer (DTZ) despite proper participation in an integration course (incl. 300 lessons of repetition)
  • can prove the language level B1 by an existing certificate, but this certificate is older than six months and the placement test proves a language level below B1


  • Achievement of the B1 language level
  • Acquisition of general professional language competence
  • Development and expansion of further job-related competencies

After participation in the special module B1, participants can master simple communicative tasks in their profession in clear standard language.


In the special module B1, seven job-related subject areas are covered, which can be further specified according to the individual needs of the participant:

  • Learning to learn
  • Dealing with and learning with digital media for the job
  • Communication at the workplace
  • Job search, application, training and further education
  • Occupational fields, places of work and activities
  • Legal issues
  • Materials, tools, tools, machines, products


Participation in a professional language course and the final certificate examination is generally free of charge for non-employees.
